The route starts in Chiesa, where the scenic Snow Eagle cable car leads to the Alpe Palù. An easy path takes first to the restaurant I Campanacci and then continues along the Baby tapis-roulant and quickly reaches the huts at Alpe Palù, where the farm Malga Rundai is based. 

The trail then crosses a conifer wood and, in just a few minutes, leads to the shores of  Lake Palù, a wonderful natural basin that is rich in fish. A walk around the lake is highly suggested, as the whole route is feasible both on foot or by bike and it is surrounded by a dense wood with a blueberry undergrowth - the ideal place for a healthy snack!

Alternative route: from the arrival point of the cable car, climb up a short slope that, in about 15 minutes, leads to the arrival point of the Del Dosso chairlift.  From there, follow a well-marked path that in about 20 minutes reaches the Rifugio Motta. The mountain hut is nestled on a panoramic terrace and offers a breathtaking view over Valmalenco and the Orobic Alps.
