Castello dell'acqua, whose name comes from a Medieval castle belonging to the De Acqua family, lies on the Orobic slope of Mid-Valtellina. The town is composed of several quarters linked by roads and a dense network of paths that lead to the discovery of rural traditions.

The Parish church of Saint Michael, built in 1427, went under several changes until 2000, when a wonderful mosaic dedicated to the Jubilee was installed outside the main entrance. The ancient ossuary, balustrades and kneeling-stools can still be seen.

The old forge remains as a testimony to ancient craftmanship. It is a specialized workshop, equipped with interesting technologic devices. The Fucina Cavallari has a rare charm, also thanks to the might of its parts: two huge hydraulic wheels and an impressive grindstone. It is said that the hit of the hammer could be heard even in Teglio.
