The Cassandre loop develops along an easy scenic trail that includes the brand new suspended bridge over creek Mallero and allows visitors to discover the typical districts of Mossini and Ponchiera.

The route departs from piazza Campello, then follows via Dante and the old Piazza Cavour. At the very end of Piazza Cavour, on the right side, there are the ancient steps of the Salita Ligari, that leads to the old street of Scarpatetti. The trail then reaches Castello Masegra and, after a short tract on the provincial road, it follows a dirt road across the Grumello vineyards. After reaching Ponchiera, the signs show the way to the suspended bridge over the socalled Cassandre - the  gorges of the river Mallero. The trail crosses Maioni and quickly reaches Sondrio passing by the Medieval quarter of Fracaiolo, the last stop before returning to the departing point.
