of Saint Catherine (17th century) and the church of Saint Anthony the great (16th century). The history of Piateda is closely linked to the territory of Val Venina where, in the ancient times, the activity of iron mining encouraged human settlements and trade. Nowadays the economy of the town is based on small craft activities and farming.
